What is the Early Intervention Program?
Early Intervention Programme (EIP) is the primary program at our therapy center, or centre-based programme, as it is an intervention and educational program designed specifically to assist children experiencing developmental delays and not reaching age-appropriate milestones.
The main goal of EIP is to stimulate all aspects of a child’s development holistically because our EIP program integrates educational aspects as well as therapeutic support.
This EIP program also provides opportunities for parents seeking daily therapy programs as preparation for their children to enter schooling, in addition to serving as intensive therapy to equip children who have not yet achieved their milestones with essential developmental skills.

Who Conducts EIP?
And How Are Therapy Sessions Conducted?
The Early Intervention Program (EIP) sessions at EQ are conducted by Interventionists/Therapists who hold a Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in fields such as Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Early Childhood Education, and Special Education.
Our Interventionists/Therapists also undergo internal training for 1 month in EIP classrooms, assisted by experienced interventionists/therapists before conducting classes officially.

Who Can Join EIP?
Children Aged Between 2 – 6 Years Old
Morning Session : 09:30am – 12:30pm
Afternoon Session : 02:00pm – 05:00pm
Who Needs EIP Therapy?
Children diagnosed with Autism (ASD), ADHD, GDD, and others
Children in need of intensive intervention (daily therapy classes)
Children with developmental delays, sensory issues, and fine/gross motor issues
Children with behavioral issues (tantrums, extreme anger outbursts)
Children still in need of assistance with self-management (toilet training)
Children who are still unable to socialize at the age of 3 and above
At Excel Qhalif, we accept children aged from 2.5 years to 7 years old.
What Will Happen If a Child Doesn’t Attend Therapy?
When a child is already 4 or 5 years old but still wears diapers, unable to request what they want, it makes the child constantly need close monitoring by parents or caregivers. Therefore, it becomes very difficult to send this child to kindergarten, fearing rejection due to not meeting the minimum criteria for admission to kindergarten.
When intervention is delayed, the rate of a child’s progress usually slows down. For example, if at the age of 2 years, sensory issues in a child may only be at 30%. With consistent therapy and sensory stimulation, these issues may gradually decrease. However, if the child is already over 5 years old, there may be additional issues besides sensory issues that could further slow down the child’s progress.
